How QR Mysteries Work
QR Murder Mysteries are built to play anywhere! As the host, all you need to do is follow the 5 simple steps below. It is so easy that you will even have time to participate as a player if you want to!

Choose a mystery and your event location
You can use our QR Codes and a little imagination to transform any event space into a fully immersive experience for your guests. Use one room or spread out to use as much space as you like. Your players will need access to WiFi and a phone to read the QR Codes.

Print the QR Codes
With every QR Mysteries purchase, you will receive Host Instructions and all the QR Codes for that specific mystery. Each QR Code contains multiple clues that players will use to solve riddles, puzzles and eventually to solve the murder! You will need to print these in advance of your event.

Invite your guests
You will also receive Player Instructions and an Invitation Email that you can forward to all of your potential guests. The game needs 4 or more players but can handle 40+ so invite as many people as you want!

Set up your event location
After printing out the QR Codes, tape them in plain sight to various items around the room as instructed (think: picture frame, bookshelf, lamp, etc.)

Play the game!
To set the scene you will read the Murder Prelude provided in the Host Guide. Your guests will select one of four character types and begin collecting clues from the QR Codes. They will need to work together to solve the murder. It can not be solved alone!
